The Inorganic Materials Characterisation facility provides training to allow users to conduct their own SQUID magnetometry measurements and support for interpreting their data. Access is open to members of the Chemistry department and is open to external researchers on request. Contact the facility supervisor, Dr Simon Cassidy, to arrange training or discuss measurements.
Training
All new users are requested to send an email to the facility supervisor (or use the contact form) to register their intention to use the instrument and be added to the booking system. All users are to be given a short induction to the instrument(s) and will be given appropriate support when running their measurements (depending on their level of experience and the experience of the group supporting them).
